Your Membership Addresses

 

Please notify the secretary of any changes to either you postal or E-mail address. This is important so that firstly the IVM can remain in contact with you and secondly so you can receive electronic notifications of relevant events.

 

2010 Membership Annual Subscriptions

 

These were invoiced to members in January 2010.  At present in the order of 50% have been paid.  If yours is still outstanding please action as soon as possible. Any queries should be addressed to secretary@ivm.org.uk

 

Ask the Candidates

 

Now that a general election is almost upon us, why not ask those seeking your votes what they will do to promote topics like Value Management and Systems Thinking so that public services and private companies can deliver better value for money? Mention that quality topics such as ISO 9000 and the EFQM Excellence Model have been promoted since the 1980s, but these do not directly address productivity and given Britain’s budget problems more relevant approaches are needed.

If they cannot answer, ask them to come back with a reply. It will force someone down the line or in head office to do their homework. If you get no reply, can we suggest you write to your local paper saying so? This has to be done as private individuals in the constituency in which you live; the IVM cannot do this from the centre. So, ask them on the doorstep, ask them on their websites, and ask them at public meetings, on the beaches, in the fields... We will never give up until we have an answer!
